Pizza Box Sides and Extras: Trays, Liners and Separators
Pizza box sides and extras are the board pieces that go out with the pizza: open trays for garlic bread and wings, liners under the base, and separators between stacked pies. Each is cut from E-flute or B-flute corrugated in white or brown kraft, and can be printed or left plain to match your boxes.

3 sides and extras to choose from
Every one can be plain or printed, and every order is priced by email before anything is made.
Design Your Pizza Box
Pick any of the 3 sides and extras, upload your logo and place it on the box. A free proof follows before anything is printed.

Your logo sits on a real photo of our box. A designer redraws it to scale on the box net and sends a free proof before anything is printed.
What are pizza box sides and extras?
This range covers the board pieces that leave the kitchen with your pizza but are not the pizza box itself.
Each one fixes a small problem at the pass. Where do the wings go, what sits under a thin base, and how do two pies share a bag?
- Side order boxes: open board trays and small boxes for garlic bread, wings, chips and dips
- Pizza box liners: flat corrugated sheets cut to sit under the pizza
- Pizza box separators: a board layer between two pizzas, or under the lid
- All three in white or brown kraft, plain or printed
We make them in the same board and colour as your main boxes. That way a full delivery bag looks like one matched set.
Which side order boxes suit garlic bread, wings and chips?
The side trays in our photos are open white board trays with low walls and folded corners. A slice, a portion of garlic bread or a pile of wedges sits flat with the top in view.
That open top lets the counter team check each portion at a glance before it goes in the bag.
For delivery, a small closed box with a tuck-in lid stops sides sliding into the pizza. Our side order boxes and trays are cut to the portion you actually serve.
What does a pizza box liner do?
A liner is a flat sheet of corrugated board cut to lie on the floor of the box, under the pizza. It sits between the base and the board and takes up oil from the toppings.
The liner in our photos is a plain white sheet with faint flute lines, laid into a brown kraft box. Your box stays kraft outside while the pizza rests on clean white inside.
For a 12 inch pizza, the liner is cut to lie flat in a 12.25 x 12.25 x 1.75 in (311 x 311 x 44 mm) box without curling up the walls. See the cuts and board options on the pizza box liners page.
When do you need pizza box separators?
A separator is a sheet of board that sits between two pizzas, or just under the lid of a single box.
Double deals are the main use. When two pizzas travel stacked, the separator stops the upper base pressing into the cheese below.
Under the lid, it keeps the board off tall toppings on a deep pizza. The pizza box separators range lists the board choices for each standard size.
Side order boxes, liners and separators compared
Each item does a different job, so many shops order two of the three alongside their main boxes.
| Item | What it is | Where it goes | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Side order boxes | Open tray or small closed box | Beside the pizza in the bag | Garlic bread, wings, chips, dips |
| Pizza box liners | Flat corrugated sheet | On the box floor, under the base | Thin bases and oily toppings |
| Pizza box separators | Board layer cut to the box | Between two pizzas or under the lid | Double deals and deep toppings |
If you send out lots of thin, oily pizzas, start with liners. If your menu leans on meal deals with sides, order trays first.
Should extras be E-flute or B-flute?
E-flute is about 1.5 mm thick and cuts cleanly into thin liners and small trays.
B-flute is about 3 mm thick, so it suits separators carrying a second pizza and trays holding a fuller portion of wings. It also holds heat a little longer than E-flute because the wall is thicker.
Most kitchens pick E-flute for liners and B-flute for separators. Before you choose board for your trays, liners and separators, our E-flute vs B-flute pizza boxes guide weighs up both.
Can you print on liners, separators and side trays?
Yes. Choose plain, one colour, two colours or full colour, with matt or gloss varnish as an option on printed trays.
A one-colour red logo on brown kraft side trays reads clearly and matches the lid of a kraft pizza box. On a liner, a small centred logo appears as the last slice is lifted.
Separators are often left plain because they sit hidden between pizzas. If your main boxes are not chosen yet, start with printed and plain pizza boxes and match the extras to them.
How do the extras arrive and stack by the oven?
Liners and separators arrive as flat sheets in bundles, to drop straight into an open box.
Side trays arrive flat and fold up along creased lines, with the corners tucked in.
Keep a bundle of liners on the shelf beside your flat boxes. Whoever folds a box can then lay a liner in the same movement.

Pizza Box Sides and Extras questions
What fits in a side order box?
Garlic bread, wings, chips, wedges, a single slice or dip pots. We cut the tray or box to the portion you serve.
Are side order boxes open trays or closed boxes?
Both are available. The trays in our photos are open white board trays with low folded walls, and small closed boxes with tuck-in lids suit delivery.
Do pizza box liners fit round pizza boxes?
Yes. A liner can be cut round or eight-sided for a round box, or square for a standard takeaway box.
What size pizza box liner do I need for a 12 inch pizza?
One cut to lie flat in a 12.25 x 12.25 x 1.75 in (311 x 311 x 44 mm) box. We size every liner to the inside of the box it goes in.
Can pizza box liners be printed with my logo?
Yes, a liner can carry your logo in one colour, two colours or full colour. A small logo in the centre shows once the pizza has been eaten.
Which board is best for pizza box separators?
B-flute suits most separators because the thicker wall keeps the upper pizza off the one below. E-flute works well for a separator that sits under the lid.
Do pizza box separators go under the lid as well as between pizzas?
Yes. Under the lid, a separator keeps the board off tall toppings on a deep pizza.
Can I order pizza box sides and extras without ordering boxes?
Yes. Trays, liners and separators can be quoted on their own, sized to the boxes you already use.
How long do pizza box sides and extras take to arrive?
Production takes 4 to 6 working days after you approve the proof. Free tracked UK mainland delivery then takes 2 to 3 working days.
Can side order boxes match the colour of my pizza boxes?
Yes. Choose white or brown kraft to match, and print the same logo in the same colours so the whole order looks like one set.
