Slice and Speciality Pizza Boxes for Slices, Calzone and Frozen Pizza
This range covers the boxes that sit outside the usual square lid: triangle boxes for a single slice, long shallow boxes for calzone and flatbread, and printed cartons for frozen pizza. They suit slice counters, street food stalls, pubs and frozen pizza brands that need a box shaped to the food.

3 slice and speciality boxes to choose from
Every one can be plain or printed, and every order is priced by email before anything is made.
Design Your Pizza Box
Pick any of the 3 slice and speciality boxes, upload your logo and place it on the box. A free proof follows before anything is printed.

Your logo sits on a real photo of our box. A designer redraws it to scale on the box net and sends a free proof before anything is printed.
What is in the slice and speciality pizza boxes range?
Three box styles sit in this range. Each one is built for food that a square takeaway box handles badly.
A slice box is a flat triangle for one wedge. A calzone and flatbread box is long and shallow. A frozen pizza carton is a printed retail box that goes from freezer to shop shelf.
- Pizza Slice Boxes: a triangle for one slice, with a thumb notch to lift the lid
- Calzone and Flatbread Boxes: long and shallow, with a hinged lid, made to your size
- Frozen Pizza Boxes: full colour cartons for brands that sell through shops and delis
Order one style or all three on the same quote, in white or brown kraft board.
Slice, calzone or frozen: which box fits your food?
Here the three products sit side by side, so you can match the box to the food and to how it leaves your kitchen.
| Box | Shape | Usual board | Who orders it | How it is sized |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pizza Slice Boxes | Triangle, one slice | E-flute | Slice counters, market stalls, pubs, match day kiosks | To the wedge you cut |
| Calzone and Flatbread Boxes | Long, shallow rectangle | E-flute or B-flute | Takeaways, wood-fired vans, dark kitchens | To the length, width and height you send |
| Frozen Pizza Boxes | Flat printed carton | E-flute | Frozen pizza brands selling to shops | To the frozen pizza and the outer case |
If one box has to cover two jobs, say so on your quote request and we will suggest the better shape. Our guide on boxes for slices, calzone and frozen pizza goes into more detail.
How big should a pizza slice box be?
A slice box follows the wedge you cut, not the whole pizza. Most slice counters cut from a 14 inch or 16 inch pizza, so the triangle matches that wedge with a little room at the crust.
Send us the length from tip to crust and the width across the crust. We allow enough depth for the cheese to clear the lid.
The boxes arrive flat and fold by hand, so a short pile sits beside the oven ready for the lunch rush. A one-colour red logo on white board reads clearly from across a counter.
See the triangle pizza slice boxes for counters for photos and print options.
What box do you need for a calzone or flatbread?
A calzone is tall in the middle and narrow at the ends. A flatbread or sharing bar is long and thin. In a square box, both slide about in the delivery bag.
Calzone and Flatbread Boxes are long, shallow boxes made to the size you send. The lid hinges along the back edge and tucks in at the front, so the food stays put from oven to door.
For a calzone, give us the height at its highest point as well as length and width. B-flute gives a deeper wall for a domed calzone and holds heat a little longer than E-flute because the wall is thicker.
Photos and board choices are on the long calzone and flatbread boxes page.
How do frozen pizza cartons differ from takeaway boxes?
A frozen pizza carton never holds a hot pizza. It goes into a freezer, then onto a shop shelf, where it has to sell the pizza to a passing shopper.
That changes the print. Frozen Pizza Boxes are printed full colour on every face, with room on the sides for the product name, cooking guidance and the barcode you supply.
E-flute is the usual choice here. Its thin wall keeps print sharp and lets cartons pack closely in an outer case.
See the printed frozen pizza boxes for brands for carton photos.
Which board and print suit each box?
All three styles are cut from corrugated board: E-flute at about 1.5 mm or B-flute at about 3 mm, each in white or brown kraft.
White board shows full colour print brightly, which suits frozen cartons and photo artwork. Brown kraft suits a simple logo, and one-colour black on kraft looks clean on a slice box.
Print can sit on the lid, on the sides and inside the lid. Plain boxes work well for a new stall still testing its menu.
Printed slice boxes, calzone boxes and frozen cartons can each take a matt or gloss varnish. Gloss lifts photo print on a frozen carton, while matt keeps a kraft slice box looking natural.
What mistakes should you avoid with speciality boxes?
Most problems with these boxes come from sizing, not print. A few checks before you ask for a quote save a reprint.
Measure the food after baking, not the dough. A calzone rises and a flatbread spreads in the oven.
Do not expect a slice box to hold a stack. Two slices on top of each other press the topping into the lid.
On frozen cartons, leave clear space for the barcode and cooking guidance before the artwork is final. Moving them later means a second proof.
Check the proof line by line. Nothing is printed until you approve it, so that is the moment to catch a wrong size or spelling.

Slice and Speciality Pizza Boxes questions
In the Slice and Speciality range, can a slice box take two slices?
They are built for one slice laid flat. For two slices side by side, ask for a wider triangle on your quote request.
Do Pizza Slice Boxes come printed or plain?
Both. You can have them plain in white or brown kraft, or printed in one colour, two colours or full colour on the lid and sides.
How are Pizza Slice Boxes supplied to a slice counter?
They arrive flat and fold up by hand. A flat pile takes little room under a slice display or beside the oven.
What size can Calzone and Flatbread Boxes be made in?
They are made to the length, width and height you send. Measure the baked calzone or flatbread at its widest and highest points.
Which board suits Calzone and Flatbread Boxes from a wood-fired van?
B-flute gives a thicker wall for a domed calzone, while E-flute suits thin flatbreads and saves space in a small van. The E-flute vs B-flute comparison guide explains the difference.
Can Calzone and Flatbread Boxes be printed inside the lid?
Yes. Print can go on the lid, the sides and inside the lid, so a message or menu shows when the box is opened.
Can Frozen Pizza Boxes carry a barcode and cooking guidance?
Yes. Send the barcode and text with your artwork and we place them on the proof. Check every line before you approve it.
Do Frozen Pizza Boxes come in brown kraft as well as white?
They do. Most brands choose white board for bright photo print, but full colour also prints on brown kraft with a warmer tone.
Can I order slice and speciality pizza boxes together on one quote?
Yes. List each style and size on the same request and we quote them together by email within one working day.
Are slice and speciality pizza boxes delivered flat?
Yes. Every box in the range arrives flat by free tracked UK mainland delivery in 2 to 3 working days after production.
